International student Needing Help

@CuriousBoutCollege Just to give my honest opinion on your college list with your expectation of receiving a major financial aid, it won’t be so easy with any of the schools below.

Amherst College
Colby College
Columbia University
Emory University
Pomona College
Washington University in St. Louis
Wesleyan University

Your stats are good but they have to be above 75% in most of the colleges in order to be considered for even a need based FA for int’l students.

Your best bet would be Washington Univ. in St.Louis and Wesleyan but since you’ve missed their ED deadlines, try for RD.

Even if Amherst College is known as Need-blind for Int’l students, your scores won’t be above 75% stats of its average incoming class since it gets quite competitive among int’l student applicants.

You should also try Malcaster and Tulane which are known to give some good fa to int’l students.

Good luck!

Why are you only applying to tippy top schools? You should expand your list to state schools/private schools that give generous merit aid.

I can think of University of alabama(you will get full tuition, and extra 1250$/semester if you are engineer but you are not)Howard university, Clark University(LEEP Program may give you nice scholarship), Kenyon College.
