hi im moving to germany pretty soon, but i would like to attend american colleges after i graduate from high school. soo, can anyone tell me what the admissions trends are looking like for seniors next year who will apply as international students? here are some schools i am considering

Rice
U Penn
George Washington
Tufts
American
Emory
Boston College
Boston U
William & Mary
Johns Hopkins

in the end, is it good or bad to be an international student applying from germany to these schools? thanks so much!

Which country do you live in right now?
And will you attend a regular Gymnasium or some sort of international high school? If you will attend a Gymnasium, you probably won't graduate in '08. As far as I know, you need to complete both 12th and 13th (or 11th and 12th in some states) grade in Germany in order to receive the Abitur. At least that is a big issue for German students because we cannot spend a semester or year abroad in 12th or 13th grade.

And do you need fin aid? If not, you should have a pretty good chance at most of the schools on your list.

Well the years 07, 08 are supposed to be the boom years for college applicants at least in the US, I'm not sure what it's going to be like for Internationals, probably as competitive as it has been in previous years.

And mewantcollege, whereever you are from, you won't be considered an "international from Germany" unless you have spend most of your life in Germany or have German citizenship. If neither is the case, you are an "international from __", or an American living abroad.
