When applying to an American University (more specifically an Ivy League University) as an international student, is it essential to have taken SAT's and AP's or are high results in Cambridge IGCSE's, AS and A levels sufficient?

SATs are basically a must unless it isn't offered in your area. AS and A-levels are substitutes for APs though.

You must have a high score in SAT.
A levels comes secondary.

For Ivy League, u need to work really really hard. Good Grades in both A Levels and SAT are required. Moreover, Keep in mind the Extra-Curricular as well.
