So, does anybody know of any International students who made it to a Uni of their choics? Especially the Ivy League Universities?
Would that somebody mind answering some questions? :P

I would like my brother to pursue his MBA but, do not know if 3+ 1 year degree requirement is must for international students. He will be completing his graduation ( B.com) in 2-3 months. Please help me with the information and some direction.

Also he is working as a RJ from last 2 years

Thanks

Yup, I did.

Applied to six schools, and I’ve received replies from two of them: Caltech and MIT. I got into both. MIT, Harvard and Stanford are the big ones for me - and I can’t rank them right now - so I guess I got into my first-choice.

Of those, MIT and Harvard guarantee to meet financial need for internationals for 4 years. Stanford makes no such promise.

@ Mikayle Stanford also promised to meet the full need of ADMITTED international students. The main difference is that Stanford is not need-blind.

Understood, thanks for the clarification.

Well back to the OP, I have got into Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, Penn M & T, Grinnell, UBC and Tufts.

and just a not about Stanford vs Harvard and MIT. Based on the same profile, Stanford’s Aid package was $8000 better than MIT’s. I haven’t got Harvard’s yet.

I applied to Harvard, Yale and Princeton, and got into all three. Finances are a big thing though :(

@schrodingerscat - don’t these school offer need-based aid?
To everybody else, congrats! I hope I’m lucky enough to type those words here next year
Any tips you guys might offer?

^ Yes, but life and everything is complicated. Sigh. At least I got full merit scholarships at all the unis in my home country if things don’t work out.

Admitted to Cornell University: no aid whatsoever. will not be attending

Same here, nerdfighter. Cornell accepted me but no aid AT ALL. Waitlist for Duke.
I’ve lived in the US for 10+ years… :(

As you all are internationals (im one myself) may I ask how you got into these AMAZING unis? Did you attend an international school or just the national type of school? How did you manage to do nice ECs and stuff? Basically im just wondering how you went through the whole process. My mediocre IB school isnt really helping me in the process and though i try to figure it all out myself, its kinda hard if you dont know how to start. If you’d like to email me thats fine as well sorry for all the questions.

Zoulik, average gpa (3.8-up), good ecs as in very commited, good essay, good sats score, good luck and there you go
