Is there any international student in this forum? I would like to see how an international student's profile looks like. In my country it's completely different, we have a decimal scale, which isn't so useful. I got pretty good Ec's, but I wanna know which is a good average on a decimal scale for harvard...?

hey there. i am from china. gonna apply this year. but not to harvard

Holla. Im from Canada (not particularly international, but hey), and I am a Yale student… which obv means Im over qualified for Harvard. :P

hello yep, from australia nervous as hell, i have no idea how this will go!

american living in germany (for 12 years)

any profile? just to have a look around…

Profiles from random students from a variety of countries won’t tell you much because of the differences in systems. You don’t say where you’re from, but Harvard has no doubt seen students from your part of the world and knows how to interpret your grades.

The question is how your decimal score stacks up against other students from your region. If your average puts you among the best students in your area, then you have a shot – assuming EC’s, test scores, recommendations etc. all add up to a very strong application.

I’m from Sweden where we have a system of 0-20.0 where a competitive GPA would be somewhere above 18, but I’m an IB graduate so I’m in the 1-7 scale ;)

From Taiwan
nice to meet you :)

From Nepal, and under the British System ( U-A*) :)

What do you mean by good ECAs? You must elaborate more. ECAs that seem to be good to you might be something that every kid in the U.S. does all the time. If that is the case then your ECAs are anything but good.

Italy, decimal scale.
Last year I got 8- which is very good, considering my school. The average changes from school to school.
