International Studies/International Relations

Hi, everyone!

I am a rising senior in high school and I'm making some last minute additions to the list of colleges that I'd like to apply to. I started out by choosing the common, semi-selective schools that are associated with IS and IR:
Georgetown
Tufts
GW
American
And a few abroad, such as University of Edinburgh, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Australian National University (ANU). But now I'm second guessing myself. I don't want to end up in a situation where I apply to a school that is renowned for its political science and/or IR/IS programs, and halfway into it I realize that I want to major in another subject. For example, if I attend GW and realize that I actually want to major in journalism or business, I won't be in the best situation.

So I guess my question is: Should I apply to a school that has a strong IR/IS program, risking the fact that I may end up majoring in something else, or should I apply to a school that's strong in multiple areas? If the latter, do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I realize it's a bit late to have this sort of crisis, but hopefully I can work something out and start applying as soon as possible.
