Hello,

Recent graduate of a BA in Asian Studies and am using my gap year to "explore" what I wanna do for grad school and essentially, for the rest of my life. I'm starting to feel that regret of majoring in a stereotypically looked down "studies" program, so ideas of doing international law is starting to feel like a more reasonable option due to career opportunities.

I'm posting here instead of the Law School thread because I know the benefits of studying international law already, but I don't think my heart is into law. I have done a state gov't internship before and realized policy-making and politics are really for me, which makes me deter from doing IR. I'd rather interpret laws as a lawyer than actively be the one proposing laws. I know IR is more than that, but I'm really into languages and cultures, so I'm more geared towards IS.

I know someone will misinterpret me into being lazy, but I feel that I'll enjoy IS much better... just worried about post-graduate benefits/career opportunities.

Something to think about is that IS programs is also 2-3 years, while Int'l Law is 3-4 years.
