International studies?

right now, i am choosing between BC and macalester college in St. Paul. i am extremely interested in international studies and want to major in it in college. for those who are not familiar with the school, macalester is a small liberal arts college with a heavy emphasis on internationalism and has a very renowned international studies major. however, while macalester offers the absolute perfect major for me, BC seems has better facilities and resources, not to mention my parents would much rather see me go there than all the way out to Minnesota

what’s really holding me back from BC is their international studies major- i desperately want to major in that, yet you have to apply at BC. does anyone have any insight as to how competitive the program is or what BC IS grads typically do after graduation?

does anyone know anything about this program? any help would be greatly appreciated

I hear that virtually all people who are serious about IS are admitted into the program. As long as you keep up a good GPA (which isn't terribly difficult) you will have no problem getting into the program. People I have talked to really like the IS program at BC.

thanks for that that actually helps me with my decision a lot

I'm really interested IS too, thank you ClassicGuitar for you comment, it clams my worries as well.
