International Trade Law

I am a junior in college majoring in Economics and am highly interested in this field of law. I would greatly appreciate if someone who is knowledgeable in this field can answer some of the questions that arose during research.

1) I understand that the transactional work is done by corporate attorneys, but what about regulatory work (Antitrust/Trade Regulatory)? How specialized is the field? What kind of credentials are needed, in addition to T14 and grades, to get into the Biglaw and practice International Trade law.

2) How is the job outlook for this profession? Legal profession in general seems to be in a crisis right now, but I hear some specialized fields, such as tax, are still hiring better than others. What about job security and advancement opportunity at this time of economy?

3) If in Regulatory side, is litigation an option or a must?

Thank you in advance.
