International transfer...should i even bother?

Highschool GPA according to WES: 4.0 (Abitur 1,8 though)
College GPA: 4.0 (A’s and A+) after two semester.
Double Major: Environmental Studies & Landscaping Architecture
(In Europe all courses are specific to your major)</p>

<p>Doing the SATI just in case: Probably gonna end up with something like 720m/680w/680cr</p>

<p>Awards and ECs: </p>

<p>Time abroad: 1 Year of High school in Canada, 1 Year Travel time through Australia/NZ/Japan/USA</p>

<p>HS ECs: Class Rep 9years, High School Rep 3years, School District Rep 1year. Treasurer of Student Council 3 years, Grad Class Rep and Speech. </p>

<p>C ECs: working in student council since the beginning of this semester.</p>

<p>Probably the most outstanding(I know its kinda usual for Americans): Working as a participant and tutor on a double degree program (helping kids 9-18 to do some uni stuff before they graduate high school) 2years</p>

<p>Tutoring Math/English/Econ 3years</p>

<p>Plenty of running and exercising…like 5 times a week “anima sana in corpore sano” type of person</p>

<p>7years of clarinet…sometimes i play some swing in a band :P</p>

<p>Well i guess thats all there is. I know I’m strongly lacking a hook…more of a convetional student i guess, but hope i can convince them with my essay that i genuinely love knowledge and therefore love to study and tutor.</p>

<p>Did any of you apply as a international transfer as well?</p>

<p>Your hook is that you are German! You will need to 1. write superb essays. Write and rewrite, make sure they are articulate, in flawless English, and interesting. 2. Know why you are particularly interested in Brown and communicate that. 3. Not need financial aid.</p>

<p>I’m more or less worried about academics (the SAT in particular) because my scores are barely the lower average end of admitted students. I tried to find some resources on SAT scores of international students but couldn’t find any so far.</p>
