How many outlets in a common room? Suite?

Students can hook up to the internet on-campus either by plugging in an ethernet cord (there are two outlets in the room, one for each person) or they can connect wirelessly: buwireless. On the first day when you hook the internet up for the first time you will have to go through a series of security measures and updates before you can get onto the network.

Each room is given a phone that is free for both incoming and out-coming calls. Sometimes the phone cord will be short for you depending on how you arrange your room but you can always buy a longer cord in the bookstore.

In terms of the outlets, I don’t know exactly how many there are, probably 4 outlets per side of the room. I recall that I needed a multi-plug to fit everything. You CAN NOT however have extension cords so be careful as to what you buy. The suite probably has around the same number of outlets as the general room does.

By “multi-plug” do you mean a strip, or surge protector of some kind? I plug in many a gadget (cell phone, Nintendo DS, Canon battery pack, Macbook, etc) and I know I’m going to need extra outlets.

Yes, I meant power strips. Getting one that has a surge protector built in is even better. One or two can be good depending on if you plug your stuff all around the same location or spread between the two outlets.

My common room last year had an ethernet port, my common room this year does not, the actual room itself has 2 ethernet ports. There are 5 electricity outlets in the room (2 plugs per outlet).

The internet is not very fast. Something like 128kB/sec max and 2.5GB of downloading per 24 hours. If you go over your connection speed will just be lowered.
