<p>hi everybody. right now, i am at this amazing program in washington dc. i am absolutely loving it. i am meeting people who were part of the senate page program, and one of the top ten of the miss teen america pageant, and other incredible people. it has left me feeling sort of, behind. i have just spent about an hour looking up youth internship opportunities, particularly for this coming school year and next summer. i am a rising junior in san francisco. i am especially interested in human rights, and i would absolutely love interning in a program like amnesty international, or something of the sort. i have looked on many, many websites, and everything seems to be for college students or canadians (im serious. type youth internships on google and youll see). does anybody have any suggestions? i would love to travel during the summer (working in new york or dc or something would really be a dream come true), and/or work in or around san francisco during the school year (this summer, i interned in san francisco's city hall). if anybody has any suggestions or advice at all, i would greatly appreciate it! thank you so much in advance.</p>
<p>Well, this isn't an internship but it is a job idea. My Son also was a big activist type very concerned about the betterment of all mankind.He is now working for a labour Union. When you look at all the injustices in the workplace, and the fact many of these illegal workers here in the U.S. are simply being taken advantage of by employers, there is something to getting these folks organized and having a voice . Son's job also involves much local travel.</p>
