have anyone received a call about something for a "summer internship"? I received that call and initially agreed with it...

iuno, it seems very fishy to me... has anyone heard of it? it's called "National Services Group", but i really think it's a scam thingy... sorta like Vector Marketing...
shudder

My sister's friend did that, but I wouldn't suggest doing it. Basically, she went around doing presentations to sell Cutco knives in houses. Sure she got $17.25 -- per presentation. She had a quota of I think 2 a week, but she didn't realize how much it sucked that she had to go from house to house promoting an okay product. It's not a scam, but I wouldn't recommend it.

omg. that's vector marketing.. i did that before, and got ripped off.

no way. i don't think national services group is vector [as much as i hate them]; i checked their "website"... which is quite sparse in my opinion and it seems they are affiliated with some companies, one of which happens to be "College Works Painting"....

my bad -- I was thinking the post was on Vector, but then re-read it after replying. I'll have to ask sis (UCSD student) and see if she's heard anything about it. She's mentioned it before, but kinda laughed it off.

theres another "internship" that promotes itself on campus called Southwestern. Its similar to Vector where you go door to door selling stuff, in this case school books. I know about it because my roommate did it the last 2 summers. Avoid it like the Plague.
