Internship Scholarships

I recently accepted an internship for the summer, but I really need money for the fall semester to help pay tuition. Are there specific scholarships for internships for political science and what is the best way to find them? I already checked the program I am in and I cannot get money from them and I also checked my political science department at my university.

So it’s an unpaid internship for 40 hours per week?

I’ve never heard of a scholarship for an internship. If you need money for tuition, it sounds like you should forego the internship and take a paying job instead. This is the basis of my strong objection to the current “everyone should have an internship” nonsense. Many students can’t pass up summer earnings, so the whole system favors the affluent while affording employers free labor. (Sorry for the rant, and sorry for your situation.)

Not off the top of my head. Jack Kent Cooke gives a stipend if your internship is unpaid, but you have to already be a Scholar in one of their programs.

I think the expectation is that, if you need money for college, you’ll work over the summer for pay (sounds like your internship is unpaid?)

Best of luck
