<p>I have two semesters remaining following my current one as an undergraduate student. One semester will involve 4 classes + undergraduate thesis and another semester will be 4 classes + an internship. I am an IR major.</p>
<p>Should my internship semester be for Spring 2011 or Fall 2011? I would absolutely like to continue onto graduate school without taking time off for work experience. 3.51 GPA so far, 570V/720Q/5.5AW. I'm aiming for a top 5 school in IR.</p>
<p>Why not take time off to gain experience? There are plenty of people who do. Even me- I’m taking off this year before I <em>hopefully</em> get into a PhD program for next fall.</p>
<p>I would try and re-take the GRE for a better verbal if possible.</p>
<p>Definitely going to retake the GRE for the verbal. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I got my scores lol.</p>
<p>I’d rather not take time off because I’m a pretty good student. I feel that I’m on a roll and that taking time off, even for work experience, would be disruptive.</p>
