I'm a rising sophomore. I recently applied to the three bio-tech companies mentioned above for a Research and Development position but have not heard from either of them as of yet. The deadlines for the internships are rather late in February or March but I suppose I'm rather worried that my applications slipped through the cracks. I know that if my applications are strong enough/what they are looking for, they should contact me soon about setting up a interview.

My stats are relatively good. 3.5 GPA. Some research background. Strong showing in science.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has done an internship from them before. ANY information would be much appreciated.

This might be very late, but I did an winter internship at Novartis once. It was a very fulfilling experience.
The application process is not too complex. After you submit your application, it gets sent to HR, which determines whether or not you are generally qualified. If you are, your profile (GPA, work experience, etc everything you mentioned in your application) gets posted together with all other qualified applications, and the employees who got official approval gets to pick from that pool of applicants. If you were not picked, you do not get notified (happened to me the second time).

Hope this helps. Also, if there’s something wrong with what I said, please correct it for me.
