<p>Research is a major one. Doing things with/at hospitals would be another. Biology is all research and pre-med is all about being a doctor. There isn’t much more to it than that.</p>
<p>Biology is not all about research; there are other things you can do that aren’t related to research. For instance, I interned at a park and assisted in woodland and meadow restoration, no research involved. Granted, I am also an intern assisting with a research study, and I work for my professor doing a literature-based project.</p>
<p>Have you looked at some of the web sites such as internmatch.com or internships.com? Have you checked with the career center at your college?</p>
