alright so i just got contacted by my interviewer...its from uchicago..i wanna know what to wear and stuff and also he posed some quesitons for me to think about:

general statement about my life

thoughts on high school

influential teachers/courses

expecations for college

things im passionate about

also should i take a piece of paper to read from or what

Yay, I'm doing my UChicago interview tomorrow!

I really don't think you should take a piece of paper to read off, as that will look... well, bad. What tripped me up in my Yale interview over the summer was the "thoughts on high school" part: I was asked what the biggest change in me has been since I started high school. I'm still not really sure what the answer to that question is - there've been plenty, and I guess you probably don't notice some of the core, most significant ones.

As for what to wear, my interviewer specifically told me he'd be wearing jeans (so I'll just wear jeans, or whatever I'm wearing to school tomorrow), but your person sounds like they might be a little more hardcore (pre-interview questions to ponder?! Oi.), so maybe you just want to do a very casual business-casual. I personally feel both comfortable and respectable/respectful-looking when I'm dressed up but without the tie/coat.
