interview attire

Well these questions are for engineering internships if that matters but...

1) what color/style should the shirts/slacks be? does it matter?

Well my I have black slacks and dark striped and solid shirts. I was just wondering if something like light solid shirts are more appropriate or something like that. Should I just wear whatever looks good?

2) Would cufflinks hurt/help me?

Thanks...I know the attire isn't everything but i'd like to look my best.

I thought usually you go in business formal. You know, coat and tie.

1) Color of Suit -- Dark Navy Blue/Charcoal/Black. I prefer the most former OPTION.

Color of Shirt -- White or Blue

2) Dont wear cufflinks. Some people do not care; others find them ostentatious. Be on the safe side and opt for a more conservative look.

I have interviewed interns at some universities. I very much agree with Majay... however in SOME instances and if you just dont have a suit. You absolutley need to go with a lighter (white or 'business' light blue... ) on the shirts ..

No --- on the cuff links

Or you could ask for a phone interview and interview in your PJs.
