I am applying to syracuse as a major reach.

-GPA: 2.9 (uw)
-SAT: 1700
-I have taken 8 AP's
-Nationally ranked soccer player (not playing in college though)
-Good list of EC's

I have an interview set with syracuse in about two weeks. Is it embaressing/ will they laugh that I am even doing this because of my low grades? Or could this potentially help my chances and allow me to explain my low grades? HELP!

I think if you have a ton of personality you are the kind of person who could really do great in an interview situation. Basically, I’m saying you need to interview if you are a person who goes in and talks easily with teachers and you can talk about anything and everything else that’s going on.

Only you know if you are good with this stuff. I think I am really good with interviews, they have always helped me out. I am better in person than on paper.

If you are great in person you need to go for it.

Thanks thats good information, do you think if I do really well in the interview I have a chance?
