I applied to University of Rochester, Syracuse University, Yale, Princeton, Harvard (EA, deferred), UPenn, Georgetown, Cornell, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, and Boston College

If asked in an interview, what other schools did you apply to?, what should I say. Should I tell them all the others, or will they count it against me that I applied to their competitors. Should I tell them I applied early?

If you are asked, just say where you applied, don't mention the early deferral. Elite colleges will assume that you applied to some of their competitors.

OMG! I applied to 4 universities and the application process was a slow death. Anyways good luck with urs, and I wouldn't mention all the universities. If asked, don't tell the interviewer about almost all the ivies, they would just think u r more interested in entering to a highly ranked university rather than entering to one which best moulds to you. My counselor mentioned that ivies like to feel unique and special and if you just mix Yale up with all the other ivies...well the uniqueness will just dissapear.

haha, that'd be funny if you were one of those kids that applied to like 20 and was really honest...
just sit there counting the universities and colleges off

My interviewer asked me where i applied and then proceeded to tell me how he applied to a ton of colleges when he was in school and it was less common to apply a bunch of places. He also told me his reason for first becoming interested in yale. He used the last of his college athletic recruiting visits allowed by his school to visit his girlfriend who was already there. He was an interesting guy.

OK how about this. I applied to HYP and a few other schools...in my Yale interview I mentioned the other schools but not HP...I also feel like a douche because the guy knows my family and is really wants to see me get in, and specifically mentioned that one of his pet peeves is getting "burned by Harvard." If by some miracle I get into HY, I don't what I'm going to do...

Interview ?'s depend upon the interviewer, it's impossible to know what they will ask. Of course, you could brush up on some of the typical ?'s like: What are you extracurriler school interests, and etc
