Interview

Hello guys!
I am a foreign exchange student from China and I am currently a junior. I have had a wonderful year in Ohio as an exchange student, but sadly I'm heading back home on June 13th. I want to go back to the States for college after finishing my senior year in China.
The U of Chicago has always been my No.1 dream school and I finally got the opportunity to visit the U of Chicago this Saturday.
So excited! Also, I have already planned an interview this Saturday too. I am really nervous and I don't want to screw this only opportunity.
Do you guys have any suggestions about how to best represent myself? How can I do to impress the college? I don't really know a lot about this city. Should I study more about the history of Chicago and the school?
Thanks a lot!

My only qualification is that I’m an EA admit and a Class of 2015’er. I also had my interview really early last year on campus. What I took away from it this is: DON’T WORRY. Be yourself and articulate WHY UChicago is your dream school. What about it is so appealing to you? Scav Hunt? The storied "life of the mind’? The Core? Dollar Shake Days? Reading up on the city is, in my opinion, unescessary if you can do that.

Also, don’t be hard on yourself either before or after. I remember thinking my interview was a disaster, lol.

Enjoy yourself. Be interesting. Have fun. :)

There’s a reason that you want to be here at Chicago. That’s exactly what (and all) you need.
