Interview

Damn bro...1000 posts in 2 months. That's what happens when you guys start conversations in every thread. :)

EDIT: On that note, this is my 100th. I think I'll go get my physics problems done so then I can start on my 4-page religion paper. Can you say "late night"? :(

Corranged--I'm about to go take a shower, actually. I figure you won't be too excited by that, though ;) lol. And what are you up to, Ms. Corranged?

EDIT: THREE MORE POSTS :D:D:D By the way, I'd rather not go to a local school like Columbia or even Yale (I grew up close by in CT) just because the scenery feels the same. Like, you're not getting away anywhere, exploring the rest of the world. At least from NY to Boston I get that feeling.

haha. good point, PorSK. I'd still like to get away. ;)

Sounds like a fun next few hours, Terra! Good luck! And congrats on #100.

I'm not positive, but I think I have a couple posts left before I reach the density of water. (right!?) :p

I'm also pretty sure I joined in October after I applied, but I guess not...

Yeah, it would be nice to live someplace different. I'm used to the Boston area, I guess, but it's not super close. I'd feel more "used to" Providence, I think.

I just finished my take home calc test, and now I'm just finishing up some work I need to get done. Fun stuff, eh? And I didn't practice today, so I feel like a bad person. :(

But, yeah, your shower isn't the most exciting thing I've thought about recently. ;)

That's Dr. corranged to you! Er, right.

GuitarMan, Cambridge is my favorite city in the world, so I have good reason for wanting to spend the next four years there. :)

Gah you're 1000!

Corranged--Any number is the density of water in some unit or another. Mazel tov!! Post #1000 about me showering. Awesome :)

And at first I thought you said you lived near Provincetown, not Providence. And I thought, that would explain sooooo much. hehe :p

PorSK--New York is my favorite city in the world but I want to get away at least for a few years ;)

EDIT: By the way, I think PorSK is onto something, corranged deserves an honorary Ph.D. for reaching this milestone.

Corranged! Down on one knee, please. ~Takes out rolled-up Harvard application and taps corranged on each shoulder~ I dub thee....Corranged, Doctor of Girl Hurnting!

I feel so honored.

But, um, I'm not sure if my post 1000 was about Guitar's shower or about financial aid... :(

By the way, I'm exactly the same distance from Providence and Boston. :)

Well, Guitar, I don't like staying in New York for more than a weekend, I find Princeton and New Haven boring, I don't feel like going west coast, and I want to be able to leave campus without getting shot or lost in a corn field.

That leaves Harvard & MIT for true elite schools that would fit my needs.

"I don't like staying in New York for more than a weekend."

Um, next time you're in New York for a weekend, tell me. Apparently you don't know New York that well because you can't cover all that it has to offer in 10 years, man ;)

Corranged--Check your old posts. It was about finaid. Damn :(

That sucks. I knew I'd foget!

I don't even know anything about finaid! I just feel this compulsion to respond to posts. haha

Guitar, I agree that you can't cover New York in ten years. Or twenty. Or fifty.

It's not that I'm underwhelmed; quite the opposite. I just have don't like the atmosphere of the city. I'm sure I could get used to it, but if I were planning on exploring for the college experience, I'd probably go out west or into Canada because New York's only a bus ride away from Boston, I can still go to NY for the weekend any time I want.

I'm going to bed, guys. Goodnight!

Nighty night corranged! I should be off too :p Night alllll...

how do you respond to ?s like "what can you contribute to Harvard" in a unique way??

Well, my interviewer never actually asked the "Why Harvard?" or "What can you contribute?" questions directly. It seemed as if he was able to gauge that by discussing my interests and goals. Of course, he must've had a ton of experience in interviews because he was the director of the group of interviewers in the area, IIRC.
