Do you know Villanova offers interviews or alumni interviews? If you know can you answer? Thank you!

My D, now a sophomore, couldn't get an interview but her boyfriend did. I think his Dad knew someone in the business school.

There are no interviews but you could meet and talk with someone to find out information but there are no official interviews

^
Um what do you think talking with someone about the college is? Do you honestly think the person you talk with doesn't say something to admissions. If you talked with anyone at the Univ. your chances of getting in next week are significantly higher than someone who did not have an interview. Especially when I went on a interview with someone who knew my sister, a graduate, very well.

I agree with you sda573. Anytime you can speak with someone it means you have some kind of connection. It always helps to make you stand out among the rest of the application pool. Many of the larger schools do not give interviews because of the shear volume of applicants which is the case with Villanova. Certainly, if you can get an interview, grab it!!

Some schools have official interviews where you either meet with someone from admissions or one of the alumni of that school. Villanova does not do this. If you go and visit the school you can talk with an admissions officer and ask questions but it's not an interview. That admissions officer does not have any questions that he'll ask you and he/she won't record what you'll say. And you should think twice about giving me attitude about what I said above because I go to Villanova and I'm a student volunteer in the admissions so I think I know what goes on.

Ok, then when i get in next week with my "interview", then we'll see how official the interview is.

I didn't say that meeting with someone you know isn't going to help you get in because unfortunately a lot of undeserving students do that and get accepted even though their grades and SAT scores are not up to par. However, the creator of this thread asked if Villanova offers interviews or alumni interviews and I said no they do not which is the correct answer. For those of you who need other proof here is the link to FAQs regarding the admissions process. Applicant Frequently Asked Questions
