Is an interview recommended for the admissions process? And if yes, how much will it benefit me?

I don’t think an interview is even considered in the admissions process - it would just be informative (if they even have them).

From Clemson’s website, under How to Apply link:
“Interviews are not required for admission, but you can learn more about the Clemson experience by visiting with an admissions staff member. Appointments are not required, but you can call the office at 864-656-2287 to schedule one if you would like.”

Every indicator we have from the Admissions Office is they focus almost exclusively on GPA, class ranking, SAT/ACT scores and difficulty of coursework as the primary factors for admission, especially for out of state students.
If you have unique circumstances such as being first generation college student, etc., please do contact them and they would be glad to talk to you, but it is not an element of the admissions process.
Best of luck to you – it is a wonderful place!
