I was wondering what schools have investment banks recruiting at them. I know in general that if your school isn't in the top 5 then you are basically screwed, but is there any chance that they will recruit at second tier elites a la Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, etc.?

Now, first off, how are you "basically screwed" if your school isn't in the top five? I think you would be a bit surprised if you had any real knowledge and actually knew about the education of employees at top investment firms.

There is no question that all the Ivies, and a few others (Chicago, Northwestern, Stanford, Amherst, Williams, Wellesley) do very well at getting their students into top banks. The "second tier elites" as you call them (Emory, UNC, Vandy, Notre Dame, etc) all do place into the banks but in smaller numbers. But firms absolutely recruit at these schools.
