I got an email to apply for a UCLA Alumni Scholarship. Does this mean anything?

It’s a good sign, but if I recall correctly not a definite indication of acceptance like the Regents scholarship is. You should go ahead and apply

My son got that email too. We thought all freshman applicants got it. Do only some get it?
