waitlisted! i won’t be accepting my position (i’m not very keen on grinnell) but congrats POmani! :)

Cheers mate, it’s encouraging :)

D got waitlisted

Somebody please post a link to the Grinnell portal! Mine’s not working. Error 403 or something like that. Says forbidden… wut.

Guys, is the waitlist response binding? Like it asks me whether I would definitely enroll if accepted, or strongly consider, etc…

it cannot be binding

@2400Kiddo I am very sorry that my grammatical error offended you. I feel the same way about people who do not take the time to learn basic sentence structure, whether it be for the SAT’s or otherwise. That said, I don’t think you can judge my character or intelligence based on that one mistake. What I meant to say was that I could have raised my score had I put time and money into understanding the layout of the test (which I chose not to do), but luckily my GPA was weighted more heavily in their decision. I was simply expressing my gratitude that Grinnell views students in this way because I was rejected and waitlisted from other schools based on a test score that doesn’t stereotypically reflect my academic performance. I understand that not getting the acceptances/financial aid packages you need or want can be incredibly frustrating. I was denied acceptance to many schools including my ED choice; however, it is generally best not to project one’s anger or disappointment onto someone who had no bearing on those feelings. If you’d like to know any of my stats or anything about me as a person, feel free to ask and I’ll reply as politely as I can. Good luck with the rest of your decisions!!

S confirm not going Grinnell. We did not have the $ to visit to see his “fit” in Grinnell college. We know it is a very very good college. Final 3 choices - Colby & Occidental, Santa Clara over UCLA, UC Berkeley, Oberlin, Tulane, Case Western and a few more.

OP here – For those of you who went to the visit program and were offered the $500 reimbursement, how long did it take for you to receive that money back? Did you have any contact with the school after handing over the form?
