Ira/fafsa

Are IRA distributions considered "taxable income" on the FAFSA form? I'm pretty sure it is but want confirmation.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Yes, they are.

Just to clarify, IRA distributions are, but IRA holdings are not.

The IRS treats distributions from a regular IRA differently from distributions from a Roth IRA. Does FAFSA?

No. The only untaxed income that can be excluded relating to IRA’s is a qualified roll-over.
