hello,
i’m currently a fifth year student (11th grade i think) currently attending secondary school in ireland.
i am not looking at many universities in the US however i’ve been really keen on NYU, Georgetown and Berkeley.
i’m not too sure about my stance regarding chances on getting in atm
for my junior cert, which are state exams (equivalent to olevels - you take them in 3rd year/9th grade) i took the following subjects and recieved the following grades:
civic, social and political education (CSPE) - A
english - B
science - B
maths - B
geography - B
history - B
classical studies - B
french - C
irish - C
business studies - C
(yeah i know they’re not too hot but to be fair i had health problems etc for the majority of that year)
and for 11th and 12th grade, we take the leaving cert, for which i have taken the following subjects:
biology
chemistry
maths
french
english
economics
accounting
(i am dropping irish (i got exempt) and physics at the end of fifth year too though)
and i got a decent amount of ec’s (mun, internship at law firms, 4 languages, drama, student council, charity work, sports, piano etc etc)
i know i haven’t done the SATs yet or anything, but irregardless of that fact:
how likely would i be in getting an offer from the three said uni’s? i’m hoping to recieve high expected results for my leaving cert as i’ve really put in more effort compared to my junior cert
