critical reading- 630
Math - 620
Writing -580

all total i got 1850
i wanna go to u.s merchant marine academy or u.s coast guard academy
im very disappointed with writing however the college that i wanna go doesnt count writing so im good

but critical reading and math is that good?
just math and reading combine i got 1250 put of 1600 is that good?

i got a similar score (710M, 620R, 560W-1890)- I think its a good score, but not top notch. It places you in around the 85th percentile for all test takers, and is good, but if you want excellent you might want to try for over 2000.

the average score on the new test is a 1518... you can't compare youself to all the smart people here. most of the people at my school are getting like 1400 out of 2400, so i would consider 1850 pretty good; not ivy league though.

GUYS JUST SHUT UP AND STOP BLAMING YOURSELVES FOR THE LOW SCORES.Looking at other ccer's scores should not discourage you becasue most often they are predicted or how much he or he wants to get.

1900 is about average f or the honors/AP students at my school. u should really aim to your own goals however. 1850 will be plenty good to get you into most colleges though, just not any ivy's or elites like that.

on a side note, im sure alot of ppl lie on here. i am willing to show any1 my CB account to prove mine lol.

Yeah, most people here lie. I have a screenshot of my CB My Organizer. But yeah, this place isn't really a place to brag, just to get info, so it would be retarded to start a brag thread (which most chances threads are).

Even with some sub 2000 scores, some of the so called IVY type schools aren't always out of the question. Most schools have their own form of "Diversity". Also known as "Affirmative Action". Point is, all schools, including the Ivy Leagues look at the "Whole Student", their GPA, ACT/SAT, and also where they are from. While big states like New York, California, etc... have plenty of people applying to these schools, there are states like Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas that have a very small population and very few applying to these types of schools. If your GPA is high enough and you're big into taking AP classes or are in the IB program, they will sometimes bow a little to the SAT/ACT so they can have someone from your state at their school.

There are no guarantees, but if you want to attend a school bad enough, you should apply. Obviously i wouldn't do it with an 1800-1900 SAT unless your GPA was a 4.0 with honor classes. You would be surprised to find out how many 4.0 and #1 class ranking students harvard and yale turn down. So even those who technically have the SAT/ACT and such to get in, don't always get in either. Later... Mike....

1850 is a perfectly fine sat score, as others have already said don't be decieved by the extremely high test scores people on cc boast. Many people do lie about them (someone from my school is on here and I know she lies about her scores) and the ones that don't are either hypersmart or are jerks like the reiterate the fact they have a 2300+ sat score at any chance they get.
