What do yall think? Is 2,400 too much for a year?
Even at 20+ times that amount a college may be worth its price:
Could you elaborate a little on your question? $2,400 cost of tuition, major, what college, etc?
Of course, Forbes readers are more likely to have the money to pay for expensive colleges than most people.
$2,400 is the cost of tuition and housing. I am going in undecided at the College of Holy Cross
That sounds like it’s even less expensive than some Community Colleges. Excellent
Congratulations! Great university and looks like you received a generous support package!
I agree -it sounds great!
That’s practically free (my kids’ tuition next year will be over $100,000, public).
Not bad.
Sounds like it’s too much. Hold out to see if they can get you under $2K.
I would consider their paying for a large portion of your living expenses as paying you to attend their school.
Based on your other posts, you may be having a little bit of “buyer’s remorse,” worrying that it isn’t prestigious enough. Seriously, that’s less than I paid for my undergrad 35 years ago. You can easily make more than that working over the summer. Save the money for grad school, a semester abroad, a down payment on a house…you get where im going with this, right? You will get a great education at Holy Cross; take that deal and run!
$100K a year for tuition only at a public university? Where is this?!
What college costs $100,000 a year?
$2700 for Holy Cross is great.
Three in college, $34,000 in state, $37,000 OOS with merit, $40,000 OOS merit and FA.
It’s an amazing deal - topnotch university for actually less than it’d cost you to live at home and commute ?!?!!
(At first I thought it was a joke post because it’s so amazing that I couldn’t envision someone being serious about wondering if Holy cross is worth it at that cost).
Congratulations! Now work hard, enjoy your college experience, take advantage of every opportunity, and learn everything you can!
