Is 3.8 GPA good for selective colleges?

<p>Is 3.8 GPA good for selective colleges such as Cornell, Upenn, Rice? MY weighted GPA is 4.4 but unweighted is 3.8 and I'm not sure how does that fare?</p>

<p>I certainly wouldn’t dissuade anyone with a 3.8UW from applying to those schools.</p>

<p>A few minutes on any school’s site should enable you to find their profile of admitted students and see the GPA ranges, SAT ranges, etc. I think you’ll find you’re in the zone for all of the schools you mentioned.</p>

<p>If you do get admitted to one of these selective schools, begin a love affair with doing your own research. It will serve you well. :)</p>
