<p>I'm specifically looking into Northwestern and U of Chicago.
I am in the top 8% of the class, and everything else is fine.
Great extracurriculars, recomendations, standardized test scores, the whole deal.
The only thing I'm really worried about is my GPA.
I have taken the most rigorous coursework, but I know a 3.6 GPA isn't very strong.
Do I still have a good shot?</p>

<p>What is “great” test scores? How big is your HS class? I assume because you’re in the top 8% that a 3.6 is, internally, a fairly good GPA. I also assume you’re not fooling yourself with that stat and that you don’t have a class size of 6.</p>
<p>Thanks. Well, I like those two schools because they’re close to home, have very rigorous programs, and are both top schools in the country. I know they offer very different things, but I like both. Especially Northwestern though (:</p>
