is a JD/MBA worth it for me?

so If I have a Ma in economics would it be necessary for me to do a JD/MBA or should I just drop the pursuit of an mba altogether? I really have an interest for both. but of course why work on killing myself with extra work. honest feedback is appreciated!

Can you afford to pay for both degrees

What job will you get with a JD/MBA that you can’t get with just one of the degrees?

I honestly believe I would benefit from both. I worked in television and hope to be a producer, other than that I’d probably be a malpractice lawyer

That is a strange combo. I’d say work for a while and see what you feel in a year or 2. At some point, you have to stop going to school! :). You can learn a lot of MBA type of skills outside of a formal program.

Are you saying I could get real world training rather than an MBA?

I’m saying get real world experience to see what you really want to do next, and what training you may need.

I agree with holding off on both and getting some work experience. “Honestly believing” is not a planned out career that will help pay for the enormous debt a JD/MBA will generate, You should have specific and articulable reasons you want a degree. Go work, figure out what you want to do, and then decide.
