Is a May 1 postmark okay?

Yeah, not that it really matters because it's the only option I have at this point in time, but I take it that a decision postmarked by May 1 is okay. Right? As opposed to being received by May 1?

Stupid question, I know. But I felt compelled to ask regardless.

The only organization I know that cares about postmark date is the IRS. I would assume it means received by May 1.

That said, I doubt they go to their wait list on May 2. You might e-mail however.

Submit your commitment deposit online. Then there is no worry.

The problem with submitting my deposit is that I actually do not have to submit a deposit; I received a waiver for the Advanced Tuition Deposit due to the nature of my financial situation. So…I can’t really reserve a spot. I emailed the admissions office explaining my situation. I’m sure they will understand, and I cannot be the only one who has ever done this before.

The college admitted you and wants you to come. If you’ve let them know by email, I can’t imagine a problem – calling and telling them this wouldn’t hurt either. In any event, I wouldn’t worry about it.
