Naviance for my school tells me I better have a 95....

I'll have a 95 weighted...not Unweighted.

With 7ish AP's and advanced courses.

Is that not a decent resume for grades?

Is that not a decent resume for grades?

Not true, they’ve acctepted numerous undergrads with low 90s. Plus you have shown some rigor by taking AP.

We’re in the same boat though, so I’m speaking through optimism haha. How were your test scores?

Of course it’s a decent resume for grades and strong curriculum so don’t worry if the Naviance average FOR YOUR SCHOOL says otherwise! Here are some facts on class profile from the Binghamton website:

Average High School GPA
Mid 50%: 91-96

Average SAT score
Mid 50%: 1190-1360

Average ACT score
Mid 50%: 27-30

You can see that your unweighted GPA is within the range. You don’t provide your SAT/ACT scores but your GPA and demanding curriculum show that you very likely can do the work if admitted. It is a very competitive admissions process though especially given the low cost of attendance in a struggling economy…some applicants with higher numbers than you may get rejected and some with slightly lower numbers may get in. What you need to do or hopefully did if you already applied, is make sure that Admissions gets a good feel for who you are and what you will bring to the community through your EC’s and essay. Then you need to be satisfied that you did your best, let it go and trust that you will end up somewhere great, hopefully Binghamton. Good luck! :)

If your school reports the weighted, Bing will review the 95. Because they get so many applications, they do not re-weight or unweight. They use what the high schools give. I have that in writing.

Mine give weighted only. That’s great =)
