Is anyone as paranoid as me?

Ok, so all I think about these days is what college I'm going to get into. I've been trying to get realistic though to try and ease my nerves. I am trying to gauge my chances at the schools I applied to.

I found this:
College Admission Chances | My Chances.net - Data-driven college admission prediction.

Could some of you check it out, because I think maybe this isn't accurate. (they told me I might get rejected from a safety and that I had a 77% chance of getting into a reach)

Thanks,

Lots of luck to all of you!

Yeah I saw that thing a while back. All it does is take into account GPA and test scores, and it’s pretty inaccurate.

Although it did tell me I’d get in almost anywhere :(

To be grammatically correct, it should be “…as paranoid as I am?”

Just figured I’d be an ass and throw that out there.

I’ve used that site, and got some of my friends into it, and it gives a general idea but has been wrong in several cases. It said I had over a 70% chance of getting into Colgate (waitlisted) and a 47% chance of getting into Union (I got in with a 9k/year merit scholarship with no application for financial aid). I wouldn’t swear by it but it can give you a general idea by your objective stats, but doesn’t involve subjective facets.

Due to this…

Colorado College…53.9%
Columbia…1.4% (boo!)
Cornell…48.6%
Duke…15.1%
Harvard…5.8%
MIT…10.6% (they were trying to woo me from junior year on)
Northwestern…19.5% (waitlisted)
Princeton…14.4%
Rice…46.1%
Stanford…9.6%
Texas…58.6% (Accepted)
UofChicago…23.7%
U-Flordia…75.2%
U-Maryland-CP…77.1%
U-Missouri-Columbia…64.8% (Accepted and attending)
UPenn…12.5%
UW-Madison…64.9% (Accepted)
WashingtonUni…50.6%

Seems alright.

Well, the site shows me that I’ll get into Harvard, Yale and Emory 100%
But I would say that with my current SAT I wouldn’t get into…almost anywhere (I’m international, definitely trying to improve). So, I wouldn’t trust the site ;p
