I just heard of the Long Beach student that passed away from meningitis that he contracted at the school. Is anyone else worried about all the vaccinations they recommend before dorming? I just hate how "sick" this school seems to be, and am worried for my own health. Just wondering what others are thinking about this.

I didn’t hear about this. Getting those vaccinations are a necessary precaution for any student at any college. Hopefully by getting these vaccinations, it will successfully prevent the spread of meningitis.

It looks to me like their recommendations are the same as most schools.

Meningitis vaccine is recommended for all college students because it can be easily spread among people living in close quarters (such as dorms).

yeah there was a beak out 2 years ago and someone died… we had swine flu too. just get your shot and and clean your hands…
