Is astronomy a good class for junior year

I tried to get chemistry or physics there is no room. I’m kind of annoyed. But I did get ap us history. But if I get high grades in this class (which I’m really good at astronomy) would this look good.

Can someone please answer this honestly. Am I screwed?

What’s ypu current GPA(weighted and Unweighted)?
What’s your schedule like?
Do you try taking conceptual physics instead of physics (if physics is full)?
Did you take Biology or Biology honors as a freshman? What did you take sophomore year?

I took biology honors freshman year I took earth science honors sophomore year. My current career gpa is an 83. I’m interested in schools such as Plattsburgh oneonta Iona and fdu. Would taking astronomy harm my chances at getting in

@MYOS1634 as a finance major would this class really affect me. I love Astronomy and would probably get high grades in it. If it really affects me then what should I do

So basically I’m asking if I took this class would It hinder the chances of me getting into some of the schools I mentioned

My D19 took geology and astronomy in high school, along with biology and physics. Her less typical science choices didn’t hinder her at all in admissions.

You’re fine then.
Have you been able to take AP English language and composition?
AP rigor in Humanities and social sciences will help you.
Make sure to have 5 academic courses junior AND senior year and do as well as possible. Start with test prep now - your admissions and aid will greatly depend on your test scores (you can either bring your GPA to an 87-88 ie, have nothing but As junior year, or prep with books so that your sat score is the highest possible, aiming for 1200+. Getting a high score though practice and retakes is more likely than going from B- to straight A’s.)
For a safety, a CC with dorms like TC3 is an excellent option.
