Is barrons a good prep book?

I just bought the Barron’s AP Environmental Science book. It seems extremely long and wordy and many people say its too descriptive and unnecessary. So should i buy a new prep book or should i just continue with barrons?

I used a combo of PR and Barrons- skimmed both about 2 weeks before the exam- got a 4.

I was familiar with some concepts, but I doubt that was any more familiar than what another person would be.
