Been here for foe years and I've always wondered why we have such a prominent population of crazies and hobos. Does it stem from the hippie roots of Berkeley or the release of mental asylum patients in the 70's?

I don't mind them because they don't bother students, it's mostly high school and Oakland people causing most of the trouble around here. Some of 'em aren't even that crazy, the preacher guy on campus and happy happy man seem to have a life outside; I saw the preaching black guy picking up a package at the post office the other day. Also saw the hat lady who claims to have made over 1 million hats on BART the other day.

When I was mugged, the Po Po said it was often people from Oakland. Makes sense too why would a criminal ***** where he eats ya know? Someone might recognize you.

Ek, ironically your comment shows your latent racism. I bet it was the first thing that popped into your mind huh?

This hobo tried to take my money after I used the ATM machine in broad daylight a few days ago. lmao. Maybe try a smaller girl/guy next time hobo.

If you define “compassion for the plight of the poor” as “feeling sorry when people try to steal your stuff”, you aren’t going to get much support.

Does anyone know how to write in Ebonix? I think it would really raise my grades over here at laney.

I effing LOVE oakland. what is wrong with you people? And yes, there is a connection between the riots. berk is legendary man. My brother is transient (by choice and for the love of wandering…lol) and he was so happy when i moved to berkeley. suddenly he visits all the time.
