Guys I wanted to ask whether blogging is considered as an extra curricular by universities or no?
Is blogging considered as an extra curricular activity? If yes then is it treated equally important?

not really.
In the past, I have seen various points of view on here and other sites.
- It is not an EC
- It is an EC, an impressive one
- It is an EC, but whether it's impressive or not depends on how successful you are at it
I’m in the third camp. It’s nice that you’re dedicating your time to something – they are looking for that. However, blogging for an audience of your family and best friend, and blogging for an audience of 10,000 other people, are two very different levels of achievement. So, my personal take would be to include it, but think very hard about what other ECs you have in which you have accomplished more or that are more impressive.
It is an extra curricular activity. Whether it’s impressive is determined by the time you put into it, and the impact you have made/the success you have had with the blog.
List information like how many readers you have, how much money you’ve made, etc. If your blog is really popular and functions as a business, than it’s an EC.
@gearsstudio i have yet to set up ad sense but I’ve written 6 blogs and have had 1564 views with many appreciative comments. I write reviews about mobile phones and compare them.

In your case, your blogging is rather insignificant. Really, it’s a hobby at this point. Not very memorable.
