Well, I've applied for BME or bioengineering in almost all my college apps but now I'm not so sure about it. I'm thinking about going to medical school or studying life-sci after i graduate (not sure either...) so I used to regard BME as a good choice. However, i"m starting to wonder that BME as an undergrad major might be somewhat "superficial" and at the same time narrowing things down... After all it's not so broad as majors like CS or even EE...
I need suggestions. Any opinion is welcomed!!!

Would like to know this too. How are the job prospects/opportunities for BME? And is it easy to find internships?

I’m not sure how it is at other schools, but at Ohio State few of the engineering job fairs seem to host many companies looking for biomed engineering majors. It might be because the program is relatively new at OSU. I am sure the school is working to remedy this, but the last time I looked, the pickings were slim. It might be better at a school like CWRU where the program is better established but I don’t know. However, as the field in general becomes more established, I think that more employers will look for biomed engineers. I think BME is fine for pre-med as long as you don’t tank your GPA because of it.
