Brown is a wonderful school with superb students and superb faculty. It’s maybe not as well-known worldwide because it’s more undergraduate-focused than say, Harvard or Berkeley is.

It happens to be in the Ivy League sports conference, but even if it weren’t, it’d still be among the most prestigious universities in the nation.

I disagree modestmelody. Where it matters, Brown is as prestigious as Cal. Nobody is going to deny that internationally, Cal has a bigger reputation and nobody is going to deny that Cal has much strong graduate programs than Brown, but as overall institutions, Brown and Cal are equally well regarded. Only 5 universities aremore prestigious than Brown, those are HYPSM.

Alexandre, I agree with you. I just don’t think that we’re gong to have a meaningful conversation with RML that will come to any kind of conclusion-- that one or otherwise. So we may as well reinforce his beliefs and what he’s hoping to “expose” by posting this and move on.

No. I’m not impressed by most of my school mates, and definitely not the Brown kids I know personally. So I don’t know what the big deal is. Technically, I’m in the know, and I don’t think it’s prestigious. It’s my self-deprecating nature. ;-)

^ Emma Watson apparently was walking with the Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and a Harvard tour guide on this “personal” tour according to my close friend at Harvard university.

Miss Watson is a “huge slut” according to my close ?Harvard friend/tour guide friend. So I am not sure why you guys are crazy about her going to Brown. :)

I would be extremely surprised if that were true…which, aside from idle gossip, it is not. In addition to her obvious acting work, Watson got straight A’s and A*s on her GCSEs and A-levels (which is not terribly uncommon, but still).

Aside from the obvious distasteful nature of such a statement, even in a joking manner…

Yeah, it makes total sense for her to slut around Harvard. It’s chock-full of gorgeous people, right?
