Is Bryn Mawr's financial aid limited to 4 years?

In looking at their website, I see information about grants being available for a maximum of 8 semesters. This seems to be referring to both merit and need based aid. Am I reading this correctly in thinking this means if you do not graduate in 4 years you would be full pay for anytime beyond that?

I’m also curious, in comparing the net price calculators of Wellesley and Bryn Mawr, Wellesley comes up with a lower net price. Any thoughts on what factors might make that difference?

Merit aid is almost always limited to 8 semesters and financial aid is at most schools as well, so Bryn Mawr isn’t unusual in this regard. At some colleges it can be difficult to graduate in 4 years because students can’t get into required courses when they need to, but this isn’t a problem at LACs like Bryn Mawr and the other seven sisters.

The net price will depend on several factors including how much self-help they expect. Wellesley has a higher endowment per student so that can have an effect as well.

Wellesley has no-loan and reduced-loan programs. Very few schools can offer FA as good as Wellesley does except the ivies.
