<p>I am planning to go into the actuary field, an accountant wouldn't be able to say my job isn't needed.</p>
<p>VTBoy, Yes, you are right. However, who is to say that some accountant won't say that there are too many actuaries at the company that you are working for?</p>
<p>Also, actuarial studies may be harder than accounting,but I can assure you that accounting isn't easy! I took several courses in stat, partly because it was required for accounting and partly because I liked it. Frankly, I didn't think that stat was much more difficult than accounting overall. It just was difficult in a different way.</p>
<p>You took dumb down stats class. When you take a stat class with multivariate calculus, or class on multivariate regression then we can talk about stat not being hard.</p>
<p>Engineering, and Business are not really that similar, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be similarly as tough. I go to The University at Buffalo and on average 52% of the kids don’t make it past there freshmen year in the school of business there</p>
