Is Calculator cheating common?

I think programs on your calculator are allowed. When i was studying for the SAT II Math IIC, the barrons book told us to type in the programs in their book onto our calc. Its the last chapter, on calc, and how to use them.
If CB wanted they could just create a rule about it, as im pretty sure they know what goes on.

Anyways, im not saying that i like the idea, because frankly it never works. I listen to barrons and typed those programs (4-5) on my calc, and i never even used it, because the effort it takes to put them in is way to long. I had them memorized anyways.

A dictionary on a calculator? That's quite a lot of memory there, can the calculator take it? Still he can easily narrow down choices on one question, write them on the answer sheet with the letter choices(lightly and small so not to arouse suspicion in case a supervisor sees it), and then look them up later in the math section. Still, you would be wasting precious time on the math section unless you finished them all.

watch.. when u have like 2 reading sections in a row and then a writing section... how funny would that be.. ur waiting for that math section for 4 sections...

its called having a proctor that doesn't walk around and sitting in the back. Haha

So did you actually use the dictionary to your advantage on the test? Sometimes proctors want to let students work without disturbances and people walking around, or they're extremely bored and don't feel like moving, or they are always walking around and spying on people.

heres the one i used scroll down to dictionary
TI-89 Flash Application Variables (NoteFolio) - ticalc.org

yes i used the dictionary once. I knew most of the words already though

TI- 89's are not allowed tho?...

they are allowed on the SAT not the ACT

Do you have a page for TI-84 applications? NOT A DICTIONARY, but any other useful applications. Again I don't want a dictionary, just anything that's cool that might come in handy one day.

As for TI-89s, I don't know if they are allowed or not, but if I were a proctor, I would just check to make sure it was a graphing calculator and not a PDA, which is the major thing that ETS is concerned about.

oh.. what the bull ****? seriously.... THATS BULL S H I T!

do u want notes or actual programs

Calm down, it is your turn. Anyhow, ethics below efficiency.

Well I'm not saying games specifically but any fun applications or programs. I Already have a ton preloaded like the periodic table. Like can you just give me a site full of them and I can browse around for anything that pops out that seems good?

Go on, I'm curious, no objection

Well hey it's not cheating to learn stuff already on your calculator incase you want to check. In this case, I'm very familiar with transformations, but it's good to know your calculator inside and out.

What do you mean by go on, I'm curious, no objection? To me? What do you want?

Wow there are already so many apps on the calculator are you kidding me?
Probability Simulation App for the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus Families by Texas Instruments - US and CANADA

Handheld Software Applications (Apps) for the TI-84 Plus family

I knew that they were there but I never knew what they did. Quite interesting to know your calculator and the apps that came preloaded onto it.
