is college life different for an international student?

actually I know exactly where botswana is and I know a lot about them (don’t bother asking how lol)… in fact I’m pretty sure I can pinpoint 80% of the countries on the planet. I wouldn’t care if you did though, and I wouldn’t care if anyone did, and I don’t see how knowing where it is would make anyone more or less ignorant, and I don’t see what any of this has to do with this thread tbh…

And actually, you’re wrong. Belgium does have a big impact on world events because that’s where all the EU and NATO meetings take place, it’s the center of Europe. A small country doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a meaningless country.

And you never direclty said America is the best country on Earth but you did make it seem that way indirectly by calling a country such as Belgium ‘‘smaller’’, without even knowing anything about it. Besides, I know a lot of Americans think this way, and I’m okay with it, because America is a great country. I love it, why would I come here for college if I didn’t?

“Belgium ‘‘smaller’’, without even knowing anything about it”

Belgium is smaller…

I am extremely familiar with the globe as well, and actually am considering majoring in geography.

Regarding Belgium: whatever, it was just an example. Belgium is a minor country that has some impact on the world, fine. It still is for the most part unknown to the average citizen outside of Europe. I was responding to your painting of me as some ignorant American.

whatever, never thought you were ignorant, but I can see how I might have come across that way.

And Belgium certainly doesn’t have as much effect on the world as America or Russia etc, but Belgium isn’t the best example to use in this case because it actually does have some impact on world politics.
