is cornell a good place to study BME?

i got into cornell...YAY!

i was pretty frenzy when i saw my congrats!

just being curious...i really want to study BME!

but it seems to me that they don't have that major (i know they have it as a minor)

do any of you guys know about BME at cornell?

There's no BME major, but you can study BE (Biological Engineering) and get a concentration in biomedical engineering after you fulfill some requirements. The Biomedical Engineering is on the rise at Cornell and there are several departments all working on it. If you want to study biomedical imaging, Cornell is probably not a very good place. However, if your interest in biomedical engineering is related to molecular engineering, nanobiotechnology or molecular self-assembly, then Cornell is an excellent place for you. Cornell just got a new nanotechnology building and Cornell is going to build a new life science initiative building for biotechnology and biomedical engineering.

There is no BME undergraduate program.

But I have heard that you can go to graduate school for BME with either a life sciences degree or any engineering degree. So, it's not necessarily best to specialize right away.
